Obama's Debacle(s)
No public option. What's the point of the bill? It doesn't even take effect until 2013. It certainly won't be any help to us. Although still preferable, by far, to the alternative, Obama has proven a huge disappointment. As far as I can tell, he's done less than nothing to create new jobs or training for new jobs or relief for mortgage holders or YOU NAME IT. What in the world has he done? And I voted for him.
Snowbound
There are eighteen feet of snow here in NYC and nothing is moving. You never even hear a siren, which means many buildings are burning and unspeakable crimes are going uninvestigated. As I write, it has just begun to snow again. This time the flakes are small and dry. I think we're really in for it. The snow is already turning parked cars into frozen white mounds. Tell the band to keep playing. Women and children first.

Mystery Blog
I have not been sleeping well. I guess this is understandable when you realize how much laughing I do as I lay in bed, my sweat soaking the sheets, counting my creditors.
Crossroads
I need to decide what this blog is about. I could start commenting on the news, but who would care? I can go deeper into my own struggle, which might interest some people (and turn off others). I can talk about the things that are on my mind ... or I can just say fuck it. Maybe a combination of the first two. My next post will be something like that.

A Real Carnivore
A real carnivore's mouth would water at the sight of a living cow or pig or sheep and even many varieties of bird. I have never heard of anyone with this reaction. So I assume nearly all humans are herbivores.
We eat meat because we can. That's really all I wanted to say about this.
